Frequently Asked Questions

How much do lessons cost?

$30 per 30 minute lesson, $45 per 45 minute lesson. Monthly lesson payments are due at the beginning of each month. Venmo and Zelle are accepted forms of payment. Ask about discounted lessons (multiple family members, referral, etc.)

I don’t own a piano, what should I buy?

An 88-key portable electric piano is a good choice for a beginner or early intermediate student. Yamaha, Roland, and Casio are reputable brands

 How do online lessons work?

The piano should be located in a room with a strong internet connection. We would use a meeting app such as Google Meet or FaceTime. The camera should be positioned either on the left or right side of the piano. This is the best angle to see both hands and all 88 keys.

Will I only learn Classical music?

I teach all genres of music, but I expose all students to Classical music. Classical music provides the foundation for learning other styles such as popular, jazz, and traditional music.

Do you only teach lessons online?

Currently, I offer virtual piano lessons exclusively. In person piano instruction may be available in 2025 in the suburban Milwaukee area, pending a commercial studio space.
